Sirdalsdagene Expands to Two Days This Year, Promising to Be More Exciting Than Ever

Sirdalsdagene is expanding to two days this year, and the event looks set to be even more exciting than ever. With Ingebjørg Bratland, known for her beautiful voice and musical talent, and Odd Nordstoga with his band, there’s truly something for every music lover to look forward to.

But it’s not just music on the agenda. The organizers have listened to feedback from the audience and ensured a varied and entertaining program that appeals to people of all ages. For the youngest attendees, there will be a troll hunter obstacle course, while world champion football freestyler Tobias Becs will impress with his skills and maybe inspire some young talents.

Saturday evening will also be a highlight with Creedence Forever at Sinnes Fjellstue, guaranteed to get the audience singing along to their classics. And while the stage entertainment will be a focal point, there will also be exhibitors present at Kvæven Bygdetun, who have already begun to sign up to showcase their products and crafts.

All in all, it looks like Sirdalsdagene will be a weekend packed with fun, music, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Prices:

• Adult: NOK 250,-

• Children (4-14 years): NOK 100,-

• Family (2 adults + 3 children): NOK 600,-

There will be a village party on Saturday evening at Fjellstuå in Sinnes starting at 6:00 PM.

Parking and Bus Transport:

​

Parking and free bus transport are offered from Ålsheia, the day parking at Haugefjellveien, and Fidjeland Hotel. Shuttle buses will operate during the event's opening hours. Parking costs NOK 50,-, while the bus is free.

Arrival of the Sheep:

​

We expect the sheep to arrive at Kvæven around 5:00 PM on Saturday. We are in continuous contact with the hill chief and will update on any changes via the PA system. On Saturday, around 800 sheep will come down from the mountain, and on Sunday (around 1:00 PM), about 1,200 sheep will follow. After arrival, the sheep will be sorted at Kvæven.

We are ready for this year’s highlight! Sirdalsdagene will kick off on Saturday, September 7, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It will be a day filled with good food, exciting activities, and competitions for both young and old.

• Fant and Snøfte (Sirdal’s own mascots)

• Sirdal Championship in chainsaw throwing

In addition to this, you can experience everything Sirdal has to offer or find some great deals at one of the sales booths. We also offer a wide selection of locally sourced food, and this year we have more exhibitors offering local food.

Sirdalsdagene has developed over the years from a small event to a big celebration with several thousand visitors. We look forward to welcoming you!
